I belive this comes after Eomer has a conversation with Wormtongue and Theoden. Dismayed at his king's captive state, he leaves the hall. As to the reference: preggers? Good call there, Amanda.

I don't mean that pregnancy is a captive state. Although, I am sure it ain't no picnick. But you said something about hope. That's what I meant.
