At work, Bob Marley:
A nice break from the Eagles
Makes me think of you.
She doesn't read this blog, but it's kinda hard to text-message a poem, it loses something...
For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin--real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This persective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. (Souza)

Try emailing it to her. I agree, Bob Marley is a nice break from the Eagles. He would be even a nicer break from someone like -say - Whitesnake.
Surprisingly, they don't play Whitesnake in the bank lobby. I would find it refreshing if they did, but hey.
I prefer bands whose tunes I can't hum before the chorus is over -- even when I've never heard the song before.
But that's a really nice haiku.
